I was inspired by this tweet:

Plus a recent conversation with my friend Mamie regarding the different kinds of activism and participation people can become involved in, especially since we’re in a pandemic and accessibility issues people might have regarding just valid concern for both the known (immunocompromised, disabilities, high-risk groups) or unknown. I hope everyone is doing what we can to move the needle — sharing stories, having tough conversations, showing up in the ways you can show up. -cct

bringing something to the table

‪some people can make banana bread
others can commit to sourdough starters
and, yet, others still can make
souffles and
macarons and
a layered beef wellington

maybe you learn how to make some of these things
or maybe you just can’t cook at all
so you help set the table
or you help wash the dishes and take out the trash
or you go to the store to buy spoons

do what you can
to bring something to the table
and together we can have a potluck
because everyone didn’t just buy soda
